Job Opening: Agriculture Officer (Horticulture) BS-17

We are pleased to announce new job vacancies for the position of Agriculture Officer (Horticulture) within the Extension & Adaptive Research Wing of the Agriculture Department, Government of Punjab. Here are the details of the vacancies:

  • Case No.: 77-RG/2024
  • Number of Posts: 13 Posts
  • Quotas:
    • Open Merit: 10
    • Minority Quota: 1
    • Women Quota: 2
  • Nature of Post: On Contract Basis for a Period of 05 Years

Prescribed Qualification/Experience

The ideal candidate should meet the following educational requirements:

  • Qualification: B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture (second division) in Horticulture from a University recognized by the Higher Education Commission.

Age Limit

  • Male: 21 to 35 + 5 = 40 Years
  • Female: 21 to 35 + 8 = 43 Years
  • Transgender: Age and sex will be based on the contents of their CNIC.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Domicile: Anywhere in the province of Punjab
  • Place of Posting: Anywhere in the Punjab

Syllabus for Written Examination/Test

If held, the test will consist of:

  • One paper MCQ type Written Test of 100 marks and 90 minutes duration.
  • Examination Breakdown:
    • Agriculture (Horticulture) related questions (80%)
    • General Ability includes General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Geography, English, Basic Mathematics, Urdu, Everyday Science, and Basic Computer Studies (20%)

About Punjab Public Service Commission

To conduct tests, examinations, and interviews for recruitment to: such Provincial Services and posts connected with the affairs of the Province, as may be prescribed; and such posts in or under a Corporation or other body or organization set up by the Government under any law, as may be prescribed. To advise the Government on such matters as may be prescribed relating to the terms and conditions of service of persons who are members of a Provincial Service or hold posts in connection with the affairs of the Province. Such other functions as may be prescribed.
